CASE STUDY
1 – COMMERCIAL
INSURANCE – MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR
THE INCIDENT
After careful
review of two open workers’ compensation
claims, it was determined both were without merit,
enabling a reduction of the reserves to zero
and a closure of the claims. This had a
direct effect on the experience modification
causing it to be reduced by 20%.
THE RESULT
Saved the commercial
insurance client over $25,000 in workers’ compensation
premium.
CASE STUDY 2 – EMPLOYEE BENEFITS – PROSPECTIVE
CLIENT
THE INCIDENT
A manufacturing
client was facing yet another year of double
digit increases on their health insurance premium.
Kapnick designed an alternate benefit program
that maintained the level of quality coverage
and provided access to the hospitals and physicians
the employees were using.
THE RESULT
Annual savings of $80,000 from current costs,
and $240,000 from the original renewal costs.
CASE STUDY 3 – RISK MANAGEMENT – PROSPECTIVE
CLIENT
THE INCIDENT
After a routine
building inspection, a prospective client experienced
a $20,000 increase in their premium during
the course of the policy term. Kapnick
reviewed the survey, and found the rates had
increased due to a few minor technicalities that
were easily corrected.
THE RESULT
After reinspection,
the prospective client’s
property rates were reduced. The cost went
from $20,000 of additional premium, to saving
the client over $7,500.
